Professor of Behavioural Neuroscience

Queen Mary's 3,000 staff teach and research across a wide range of subjects in Science and Engineering, the Humanities, Social Sciences and Laws and Medicine and Dentistry.

As part of this strategy, we are now embarking on a 3 year programme of recruitment in the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences.  The School is recognised for its strong record in research and its large and popular graduate and undergraduate programmes.

Applications are now invited for a Professor of Behavioural Neuroscience. The successful applicant will have an excellent international profile and a proven track record of world-leading research. They will be able to develop a multidisciplinary research platform within the School and to attract funding to support research.  Applicants will also have the ability to teach in relevant areas.

Expertise and interests complementing our existing strengths in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage:

The post is full time and permanent starting in September 2011 or as soon as possible thereafter. Salary will be by negotiation within the Professorial range. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, childcare vouchers scheme, final salary pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
