Salary Range: £34,550 - £39,270 including London Weighting, depending on experience
Situated in the heart of the City of London, adjacent to the Barbican Centre, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama produces 14 fully staged operas and dramas each year. We now seek to appoint an experienced Lecturer/practitioner in the field of Digital Performance Technology to join the Technical Theatre Arts Department.
The post holder will be responsible to the Head of Theatre Technology for teaching and production work in Digital Performance Technology, including but not limited to IT, Video and Sound, to best Higher Education practice.
The successful candidate will need to have significant experience in professional theatre video and/or sound, excellent professional video and/or sound skills along with previous relevant teaching experience and/or a teaching qualification. Experience of working with media servers essential.
He or she will be organised, able to meet deadlines and manage their own workload. They will have up to date knowledge of Health & Safety and a commitment to promoting safe working.
Essentially they will demonstrate an ability to work with and inspire young people in a collaborative and collegial fashion.
