As part of this strategy, we are now embarking on a 3 year programme of recruitment in the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences. The School is recognised for its strong record in research and its large and popular graduate and undergraduate programmes.
Applications are invited for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader in Chemical Biology/Biological Chemistry *. The successful applicant will have a proven ability to conduct world-class research, the ability to maintain an internationally competitive research group and secure the funding to support this. Applicants will also have the ability to teach in relevant areas.
We encourage applicants that complement and enhance the existing research strengths (http://www.sbcs.qmul.ac.uk/research/index.html) of the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences. Expertise and interests in the following would be an advantage:
the interface between Chemistry and Biologythe range of spectroscopic techniques available within the School, particularly NMR and/or EPR spectroscopyinteraction with the School's existing strengths in Synthetic Chemistry, Structural Biology and Life Sciences* Applicants should indicate to which level they are applying.
The post is full time and permanent starting September 2011 or as soon as possible thereafter. The salary will be in the range of £37,669 - £55,479 per annum and will be in accordance with the appointment level, subject to experience and qualifications.
