Anthony Nolan operates the UK's largest stem cell register, matching volunteer  stem cell and cord blood donors with patients in need of life saving transplants. We are now seeking a new team member for our Cord Blood Centre.

We are now looking for 2 Laboratory Scientists on a fixed 1 year contract to join our team.  One position to cover Wednesday to Sunday; the other Thursday to Monday.   An initial training period will be required where the working hours will be Tuesday to Saturday.

You will be responsible for performing cord blood cell processing and testing for transplantation and other medical applications, using innovative production, testing and analysis techniques all within H&S guidelines.

You will have an Honours degree or equivalent in Biological Sciences or similar discipline. With a knowledge of immunology, transplantation and cell biology, you must be familiar with current analytical and storage techniques and able to troubleshoot problems as they arise. You should have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, and the energy, and enthusiasm to achieve high workloads and the ability to work weekends.
